A healthy human environment is one, in which we try to make sense of our limits, be aware of the accidents that can always befall us and learn from  the passage of time which inexorably changes us. Today with the rapid growth and development in technology there are too many accidents that can befall the human race. Envisioning this situation Bro Andrew Richard on the glorious anniversary of our Nation's Independence (15th August) inaugurated and handed-out 6 safety barricades to the regional auto-richshaw union members, who then stowed them on the National highway with an intention of deterring and preventing accidents.

The other dignitaries present during the event were Mr.Das (karnataka Rakshana vedhike district president), Shri Prathima (Adyar grama panchayath president)  and few other personages. The program commenced with Bro Andrew hoisting the Tricoloured Indian Flag followed by which he addressed the gathering and orated that "our line of roadway barricades are designed to protect drivers, pedestrians and road construction crews by creating channels of clear delineation. The reason behind installing barricades along this national highway is to reduce overspeeding and allow intersection crossing at strategic locations. Road safety is a collective effort between the government and  people. While the government administration must leave no stone unturned in ensuring the proper condition of the roads and enforce strict adherence to traffic rules. The right attitude of people towards road safety and discipline is perhaps the 1st step on the long road to  safety. To conclude the oration he also exclaimed saying that 'Speed kills and also thrills' so it is better to be safe than to be sorry, one must keep a rein on one's speed and be aware so as to prevent accidents ! "

This thoughtful deed of Bro Andrew will effectively  reduce  the number of accidents in this region and in doing so he has also installed a  positive attitude towards road safety among the locals!
