Do you ever feel far away from God, or that He is far away from you? If you’re like most people, then I bet the answer is yes.

These are storms with waves of emotions so high that our lifeboat fills with tears and appears that it could sink at any moment. Waves of fear rock our boat and threaten to spill us into the depths of despair without even a life jacket to keep us afloat.

In life, it is easy to follow the crowd and move with the masses. It even feels right because it is hard to imagine so many people thronging in the wrong direction.

Do you need direction? Discretion? Discernment? Deliverance? Talk to your Counselor. Pour out your heart. Be honest. Transparent. Lean hard on the One who is Jesus in you.

You may feel that while you’re stepping beyond your own fears and audaciously sharing who Jesus is, nobody’s listening.

We distrust God when we are fearful of losing control.When we try to take control, we ultimately leave no room for God to be God.

Even the best of our intentions to love and serve others can become misguided if we’re not seeking His will first. But, thanks be to God, the Lord has never lost sight of us.

Do you struggle with not feeling qualified? You’re not alone. I think more of us feel unqualified than qualified on a daily basis. It only takes being pushed slightly out of our comfort zone at work or in ministry, to feel entirely defeated about our abilities. 

Jesus entered the synagogue on a Sabbath and was teaching when He noticed a man whose right hand was withered. He also noticed the Pharisees plotting against Him.

Have you been too distracted to see God’s glory? Sometimes the reason for our struggling season is that we need to be humbled enough to see Him. When the enemy has stripped me of my sanity, God shows up and shows off.
