How often do we crave some refuge? Troubles swirl around us, misunderstandings drain us, work keeps piling up, and we just want to run and hide from it all. Running from our problems might not help us, but running to Jesus definitely will!

God’s word says to taste and see that the Lord is good.  Everyone who trusts in the Lord will be blessed.  God is good all the time.  Some feel that God has been not so good sometimes. 

When we get our wins or accolades also, we remember God because it is through His works and grace that we succeed in our works. Our works don’t count for our salvation. It is never enough, and never will be enough, for us to be ‘eligible’ to be saved.

God is our Bountiful Father. A father loves to bless his children. If we who are sinners can perceive so, then how much more will our Father in Heaven comprehend with His infinite knowledge.

It’s common knowledge that trees need water to grow. A tree that doesn’t get enough water will soon shrivel up, stop bearing fruit and eventually die. In much the same way, we need the Word of God to sustain us daily.

Love, nature of God, who is the epitome of Love. Not the ‘love’ of lovers, friendship, or parental ‘love’. It’s the agape love of God. We must show love in action, not discuss it as grand concepts. Jesus illustrated love to His disciples and the world by giving His life for us.

Everyone goes through seasons of difficulty or times when things just seem dark. During these challenging times, know that you are not alone. God has a plan to drive out the darkness. He will flood you with His light! Notice that in today’s verse it doesn’t say,

Forgiveness is the greatest character that everyone should possess.  Jesus Christ is the perfect example of a forgiving God.  He forgave people even on the cross. 

God is righteous and so are His works. He loves people who are righteous. He takes great delight in works of righteousness. 

The Lord will bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. When we look at the number of spiritual blessings we are privy to, it makes our worldly desires pale in comparison.
